Open House December 11, 2025

Silver Star Elementary will be holding a casual Open House opportunity for families with children 3-5 years old on December 11, 2025. If you’re planning to register your child in Kindergarten or Grade 1 for the 2026-2027 school year, here’s a chance to check out the Montessori primary classrooms.

This is an informal event; the annual Information Night is scheduled for January 7, 2026, where you can meet the teachers, Silver Star admin and tour the Montessori Program.

Fresh To You Bundle Delivery

We have great news! The Fresh To You Bundles are scheduled to arrive at Silver Star on Wednesday, November 26! Pick up will be available that afternoon between 2-4pm at the school. With the closing of one fundraiser comes the opening of another! The Vernon Montessori Society is trying out a new vendor for this campaign. The DFS Winter Catalogue is filled with wrapping paper, cards, gift tags, kitchen gadgets, mugs, gourmet chocolates, dry mixes, and their Cake in a Card treats! Purchases can be made online or through Silver Star Montessori students. This company offers free shipping to the school, and direct to home shipping for a fee, so even distant family and friends can join in this fundraiser! Sales close November 7 for student orders and November 10 for online orders, with delivery to the school expected by the last week of November. Back by popular demand! Our Fresh To You Produce Box fundraiser is returning this fall! Two bundles are available, with fresh, BC produce in each one. Sales will be available through our Silver Star Montessori students, as well as through our website from October 9 - 27, with box pickup TBA between November 12-21 at Silver Star Elementary! A great way to help the Vernon Montessori Society, support local BC farmers and enjoy fresh, healthy produce this fall!
